There's nothing we love more than seeing our rings on a bride so clearly in love. So when we caught a glimpse of the photos from Tessa Flower's wedding, and she just happened to be wearing our Morganite, White Sapphire & Diamond Pink Lady ring with our Whispering Love Diamond band, we had to get the inside scoop. To say that she captured the essence of classic romance on her special day would be an understatement.
Tessa works as a Child Life Specialist in Nebraska. Currently studying to earn her Masters Degree (in order to better serve the families she works with), it's obvious that the new Mrs. Flower puts hard work and love into every aspect of her life.
Best day-of advice you received?
Your favorite detail from your wedding?
My favorite detail from my wedding had to be either my beautiful Pink Lady ring [by Carried Jewel] or my Stevie Veil by Made With Love. Both were classic, romantic, and unique!
What is one thing you would worry about less in retrospect?
Was there anything you had to sacrifice to keep your budget in check?
I DIY-ed almost everything for our wedding which brought on a little bit more stress than having hired someone to decorate--the vision of what I wanted our special day to look like was all in my head! It just took communication and my amazing family who all rallied to help me get things just so. But, it made it that much more special to party with all our friends and family knowing I had put in the extra effort and time to make our space beautiful!
What advice would you give to future brides?
Don't stress about the little details or the vision you had in your head, because at the end of the day, those details don't matter. The only thing that matters is getting to stand up and commit yourself to your partner in front of the people you love most in the world.
Morning after advice? How did you find time with your new husband while not neglecting all of the friends and family that were in town?
Sleep in and have breakfast in bed! We had people come from literally all over the world to be with us (shout out to my Finnish friends!), but we really needed the morning to just slow down and enjoy our new vows before jumping back into host and hostess mode.
What was the one moment from your wedding that you will never forget?
Walking down the aisle and looking at the room full of my favorite people and the man I love so much all crying and happy. There were so many happy tears and it was just the best moment of my life!
